A note on #IndigenousEvidence
Indigenous peoples’ evidence is unique and differs from Canadian common law evidence in that it often takes the form of oral traditions and stories. A link to the transcripts of the oral hearings is found here.
A number of the Indigenous intervenors in the NEB process have asked for portions of their evidence to be kept confidential. Out of respect for the sensitivity of this information, we are not featuring Indigenous evidence summaries unless the intervenor provides their own summaries or permission to summarize. For this reason, there are fewer summaries of Indigenous evidence than other categories.
